Gabi Round is a Lecturer in Enterprise at Salford Business School, University of Salford, where she combines teaching with active research and student mentorship. An alumnus of the university, she returned to academia during the pandemic after a successful career in international events management, bringing real-world experience into the classroom.
Her research interests center on gender equity, particularly in leadership succession within small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the intersection of feminism and veganism in workplace dynamics. She explores how social capital, especially around food, influences professional environments and aims to promote inclusive leadership pipelines.
Her recent publication in the Communication Studies Journal examines how women vegans navigate conversations about meat consumption at work, revealing meat eating as a form of symbolic capital. This reflects a broader research trend focused on identity, power, and equity in organizational settings.
