معرفی
Romain Grangeat is a Researcher-lecturer at CESI, affiliated with the Engineering and Numerical Tools research team. His primary research focuses on organic materials durability, physical/chemical properties of materials, mechanics of materials, and instrumentation via fiber optic sensors. He holds a PhD from Nantes University (2019) on bonded assemblies' durability in humid environments and an engineering degree from INSA Rennes (Materials Science and Engineering).
His educational activities span 1st/2nd year engineers and Masters programs, emphasizing Mechanics, Materials Science, and Education through Research. Key research themes include water diffusion in bonded assemblies, interphase characterization, and sensor-based material analysis. Over 15 publications (2019–2025) explore fiber optic sensor applications in structural monitoring, environmental material behavior, and adhesive joint durability.
Current research integrates interdisciplinary approaches to improve material reliability under hydrothermal conditions, with potential applications in offshore wind energy infrastructure and composite materials engineering.
