FİRDEVS YÖNET EREN

FİRDEVS YÖNET EREN is a Researcher at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University's Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts within the Faculty of Tourism. She holds a PhD (2022) focusing on internationalization challenges of Turkish cuisine and a Master's in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts (2016). Her academic roles include Vice President of the Department and Quality Board membership since 2021. She has led projects like the EU-supported Cappadocia Women's Cooperatives Academy (2024) and a Higher Education project on Nevşehir's geographically indicated flavors (2023).

Her research interests span gastronomy-tourism integration, cultural heritage preservation, and regional product utilization. Notable works include analyzing Cappadocia's culinary tourism potential, evaluating geographical indications' impact on destinations, and exploring robotics in cooking. She has authored/co-authored over 15 books and peer-reviewed articles, including 100 Years of Gastronomy in Türkiye (2023) and Kitchen Management in Hospitality (2021).

Award-winning educator, she advises three ongoing theses on topics like mixology modernization and Cappadocia tasting menus. Her work emphasizes sustainable culinary practices and women's cooperatives in tourism development. She has presented at international conferences in Turkey and the USA, contributing to global discussions on food tourism innovation.
