Fériel BACOUP serves as a Teacher-researcher in physical chemistry of polymers of bio-sourced materials at UniLaSalle's Rouen Campus within the Agrobiosciences teaching department. She is an active member of the Transformations and Agro-resources research unit and represents UniLaSalle in the Normandy plastics club (Ademe working group).
Her educational qualifications include:
- Doctorate in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
- Master's Degree in Polymers and Surfaces
- CNAM training in Organizational Systems and Management in Business
Dr. BACOUP specializes in converting agricultural co-products into agromaterials using thermoplastic matrices for packaging and construction applications. Her research encompasses physicochemical characterization of raw materials, formulation and implementation of novel materials, performance testing, and biodegradation analysis. This work bridges polymer chemistry with sustainable material engineering to address environmental challenges in industrial applications.
She maintains active industrial partnerships with Nomadéis, Coolix, and IFPC, alongside academic collaborations with ESITC, University of Brighton, and University of Bath, focusing on practical applications of bio-sourced material innovations.
