Fátima Castanheira Geada is a Professor at ISEG - School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, specializing in Economics, Statistics, Accounting and Auditing. With extensive academic leadership experience, she has served as President of the Scientific Committee, President of the Pedagogical Committee, Course Director, and Coordinator for Master's, MBA, and Postgraduate Programs.
Her educational background includes a Doctorate in Economics from ISEG - University of Lisbon (1999), a Master's degree in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics and Business Management (1986), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (1984), all from ISEG. She has supervised numerous Master's students whose research spans internal control, corporate governance, and ESG reporting.
Professor Geada's research focuses on Internal Audit, Corporate Governance, and ESG Reporting, with recent work examining audit processes in healthcare institutions, transfer pricing mechanisms, and governance models. Her publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward addressing contemporary challenges at the intersection of traditional auditing practices and emerging reporting requirements, particularly in sustainability.
