She has received the Best Dissertation Prize from the University of Edinburgh (2020) and is funded by the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership and Pembroke College. Friederike has also served as a research assistant on the ERC-funded project 'The Politics of Climate Change Loss & Damage' at UCL, and has participated in UNFCCC COPs as part of the Cambridge delegation.
Teaching activities include leading seminars on climate science-policy interfaces, qualitative methods, and climate diplomacy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her work bridges academic research with policy engagement through contributions to platforms like Carbon Brief and Cambridge Zero.
