Professor Fridon Shubitidze is a Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering since 2007. He holds an MS (1994) and PhD (1997) from Tbilisi State University in Georgia. He is also a senior engineer/physicist at White River Technology, Inc. His research focuses on computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic sensing, UXO detection, and biomedical applications like magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia for cancer treatment.

- MS in Radio Physics, Tbilisi State University (1994)
His work addresses real-world challenges in geophysics and medicine, including landmine detection and cancer therapy. He was awarded Georgia's Medal of Honor (2019) and the DoD's 2011 SERDP Project-of-the-Year Award. His research groups have developed advanced EMI inversion models and novel systems for UXO discrimination.
