Freek Vonk is an Endowed Professor at the Faculty of Science, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Amsterdam Institute for Molecular and Life Sciences (AIMMS). His ancillary roles include Researcher at Naturalis Biodiversity Center (since 2008), Guest Researcher at Leiden University (since 2012), Ambassador for Future For Nature (since 2014), Director/Owner of Studio Freek (since 2016), and Founder of No Wildlife Crime (since 2016).
His research specializes in venom pharmacology and biodiversity conservation, with core interests in:
