Fredrik Graver is a Professor of Pedagogy and Head of Studies for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs at the Norwegian Film School, part of the University of Inland Norway. He joined the institution in 2009, bringing extensive experience from roles at the Canadian Film Centre and Vancouver Film School. His responsibilities include program development, pedagogical innovation, and artistic research oversight.
Graver’s research focuses on fine arts pedagogy within film education, emphasizing practical learning, reflection, and collaboration. He investigates the intersection of art and technology, particularly in immersive media like VR/AR and AI-driven creativity. He led the Center of Excellence in Education (CEFIMA) from 2017–2022 and currently contributes to MishMash – Centre for AI and Creativity (2026–2031).
His articles explore topics such as crisis resilience in art education, AI ethics in creativity, and VR storytelling pedagogy. Graver has also served as interim Dean (2016–2017) and Vice Dean for Education/Research (2018–2022), driving institutional strategic initiatives.
Graver’s work bridges theoretical and practical dimensions of film education, advocating for adaptive curricula and interdisciplinary innovation. His projects emphasize collaboration between educators, artists, and technologists to address evolving industry needs.
