Frederique Demeijer is an Assistant Professor at the Athena Institute, part of the Faculty of Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on transdisciplinary collaborations, multi-stakeholder networks, transformative learning, and community engaged learning. She holds a PhD in anthropology, oral history, and religious studies from VU Amsterdam (2020), an MSc in Culture, Organization & Management (2009), and a BSc in Cultural Anthropology (2007).
Her educational background includes studies at UvA and University of Cape Town, with a PhD exploring six social generations' experiences within the Apostolic Genootschap. Key research interests include generational theory, lived religion, and qualitative methodologies.
