Dr. Frederick Nyakudya is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Staffordshire University's School of Justice, Security and Sustainability (JSS). He leads postgraduate research courses and teaches across undergraduate and graduate programs, including Social Enterprise, Business Creation, International Business Strategy, and Entrepreneurship (MBA). His academic qualifications include a PhD from Aston University, an MBA from the University of Northampton, and a BA (Hons) in Business Management from De Montfort University.
Research Interests: Dr. Nyakudya focuses on understanding drivers and barriers to entrepreneurship across global contexts. His work examines high-growth aspirations, social entrepreneurship, regional economic development, and informal economies. Key themes include gender disparities in entrepreneurship, migration impacts, and institutional frameworks influencing entrepreneurial behavior. He employs quantitative methods (Stata/SPSS) and project management techniques in his research.
Publications: His work spans topics like migration's local economic impacts, gender gaps in post-apartheid South Africa, and resource endowment effects across entrepreneurial stages. Recent contributions explore gender-resource interactions in entrepreneurial growth.
