Dr. Ware's research and teaching focus on Systematic and Philosophical Theology, African American Theology, Philosophy of Religion, and Pentecostal Studies. He is the lead editor of the T&T Clark Handbook of African American Theology and author of African American Theology: An Introduction and Methodologies of Black Theology. His recent work explores the intersections of theology with race, culture, healthcare, and science, particularly through the lens of climate crisis and science-engaged theology.
Although no recent articles were listed in the provided text, his scholarly output demonstrates sustained engagement with theological method, Black religious thought, and interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and science.
Scientific and Academic Leadership:
Dr. Ware is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and has been involved in ecumenical dialogues, including the Joint Consultative Group between the World Council of Churches and Pentecostals, and currently in dialogue between the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America. He has served congregations in Tennessee and maintains affiliation with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
No specific lab or research team is mentioned, but his leadership in the Science for Seminaries Project indicates active coordination of interdisciplinary curriculum development and collaboration across theological institutions.
