Dr. Frederick French is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta and has extensive experience in education, including classroom teaching, school psychology, and administrative roles at various levels. His research focuses on youth with learning disabilities, ADHD, and mental health, emphasizing inclusive practices, policy studies, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). He has contributed to collaborative projects on young women in STEM careers and mental health education.
Education: B.Sc. (Psychology) and B.Ed. (Secondary Social Studies) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, M.A. from Memorial University, and Ph.D. from the University of Alberta. Professional Experience: Teaching and research roles at Memorial University, University of Alberta, and Mount Saint Vincent University, alongside administrative positions in education systems.
Research Interests: Adolescent development, instructional strategies for inclusion, mental health wellness, and educational legislation. Recent work includes studies on ADHD, mental health interventions, and UDL implementation. Collaborative projects address equity and access in education.
