Fred Meller is a Lecturer and Programme Director for the Performance Programme at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. He previously served as Course Leader for BA Hons Performance: Design and Practice, aligning with his professional expertise in design for performance.
His research focuses on the process of disruption through design in contemporary performance making. Key themes include scenographic innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the redefinition of performance spaces.
Notable achievements include exhibiting at prestigious events such as The Prague Quadrennial (1999, 2003) — where he won the Golden Triga — and being selected for World Stage Design (Toronto, 2005) and World Scenography (2000-2010). His work is part of the V&A Museum's permanent collection.
