Associate Professor Fraser Russell holds an academic appointment in the School of Health at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), specializing in Biochemical Pharmacology. He earned a PhD from the University of Melbourne (1994) and completed postdoctoral research at Cambridge University (UK), University of Otago (NZ), and Queensland University (Australia). His research focuses on cardiovascular pharmacology, including novel anti-scarring molecules from Australian stingless bee propolis, antimicrobial properties of honeys, and anti-inflammatory effects of omega-3 fatty acids in cardiovascular disease.
