Franziska Lissel

Dr. Franziska Lissel is an Independent Research Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) and a TU Dresden Young Investigator. She previously served as Acting Professor at the University of Jena's Department of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry and conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University and KAUST.

• M.Sc. in Chemistry (2009) from University of Bremen

Her research focuses on electronically active organic and polymeric materials with secondary functionalities, including:

• Soft, stretchable polymers for biocompatible electronics
• Redox-responsive metallopolymers
• Polymer matrices for MALDI MS Imaging
• Metal-polymer interface engineering

• Stretchable biosensors for COVID-19 detection
• Conjugated polymer MALDI matrices enabling low molecular weight analysis
• Ruthenium-based Wolf-III polymers for switchable conductance
• N-heterocyclic carbene gold nanoparticle hybrids
