Franz Greimel

Franz Greimel is a Researcher at the Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management (BOKU Vienna), specializing in hydropeaking impacts on aquatic ecosystems and environmental flow management. His work focuses on mitigating hydropower-induced flow fluctuations through interdisciplinary projects like SuREmMa+ and ÖkoReSch, funded by national institutions and companies.

• Research Interests: Hydropeaking effects, fish ecology, river restoration, hydrological modeling, and ecological mitigation in hydropower systems.
