Frans van Eijnatten

Dr. Frans van Eijnatten is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His expertise spans organizational renewal, complexity theory, and socio-technical systems design, with a focus on sustainable work practices and human performance management. He teaches in TU/e's bachelor and master programs in Innovation Management and Operations Management, as well as at TIAS School for Business and Society.

His research integrates chaos and complexity theories with organizational development, including work on chaordic systems thinking (CST) and participative simulation. He co-founded the European Chaos and Complexity in Organizations Network (ECCON) and contributed to EU-funded programs like Esprit, Brite-EuRam, and IMS. Recent publications highlight sustainable work, organizational change, and complexity in manufacturing.

Dr. Van Eijnatten supervises PhD students and teaches research methodology, organizational behavior, and systems design. He has held visiting positions at Yokohama National University and serves as a reviewer for EU Framework 6/7 research initiatives.
