Frans Boch Waldorff

Frans Boch Waldorff serves as Professor at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Department of Public Health, Section of General Practice. His research focuses on multimorbidity in general practice patients with particular emphasis on dementia care. He currently leads validation efforts for the BASIC cognitive test in primary care settings and manages the AKIAP accreditation project in general practice.

Waldorff's research interests span multimorbidity patterns, dementia diagnosis and management, healthcare organization, and accreditation systems in primary care. His work addresses critical gaps in elderly care, particularly regarding fragile patients with complex health needs. Recent projects include the Velux-funded initiative (2021) to improve visual impairment identification and the Novo Nordisk Foundation-supported LightCOM project (2022) examining healthcare oversight mechanisms.
