Franque Grimard is Associate Professor of Development Economics at McGill University. He holds a PhD from Princeton University and has consulted for organizations including World Bank and Health Canada.
Research examines health economics in developing countries, poverty alleviation strategies, and environmental-economic tradeoffs in agricultural systems. Fieldwork spans multiple countries including Peru, Pakistan, Côte d'Ivoire, and Haiti.
Publications analyze health system reform, tuberculosis control economics, and gender impacts of infrastructure development. Research demonstrates consistent focus on policy-relevant development issues through empirical microeconomic analysis.
Received research grants from SSHRC, CIDA, and Rockefeller Foundation. Conducted health policy evaluations for Canadian government and international agencies.
