Frankie Young is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa, an LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Saskatchewan, and a B.A. from Crandall. Her research centers on Indigenous legal frameworks, economic development, and socio-political challenges within Canada's legally pluralistic state.

Her work investigates pathways for Indigenous communities to achieve self-sufficiency through legal innovation in business, trusts, and secured transactions while preserving cultural integrity. Recent publications analyze Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) as a tool for reconciling Indigenous and Western legal systems in economic development.
Professor Young teaches courses including Indigenous Peoples & the Law, Trusts, and Legal Issues in Indigenous Economic Development. Her office is located at 57 Louis Pasteur St., Room FTX 364.
