Frank Shuman serves as Principal Lecturer and IMA Advisor in the School of Accountancy at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. With over 30 years of service since joining in 1992, he specializes in accounting education and professional development. Shuman advises the student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and maintains professional certifications in both public and management accounting.
Education includes:
- MA in Accounting from Utah State University (1989)
- BS in Accounting from Utah State University (1987)
Teaching focuses on fundamental accounting principles and professional practice standards. His instructional approach emphasizes practical application of accounting standards and professional ethics.
Publications include analysis of FASB Accounting Standards Codification implementation challenges and impacts on professional practice.
