Frank Russo serves as the Associate Director for Engineering & Construction at the Center for Clean Water Technology (CCWT) at Stony Brook University, overseeing the construction and planning of nitrogen-removing biofilter installations in Suffolk County. He manages the Wastewater Research and Innovation Facility, focusing on enhancing nitrogen removal in onsite systems. With over 40 years of experience, he retired as Senior Vice President and Director of Wastewater Engineering at H2M architects + engineers, where he built their wastewater division. Russo is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and a certified wastewater treatment plant operator. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Stony Brook University.
