Frank Pericolosi is Professor of Physical Education and Head Baseball Coach at Pomona College, where he has been a key figure in athletics since 2002. He currently serves as Interim Assistant Athletic Director of Admissions and Interim Chair of Physical Education, reflecting his leadership role within the department.
His educational background includes a Master of Education from Springfield College and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.
Pericolosi is renowned for his success as head coach of the Sagehens baseball team, leading them to four SCIAC championships (2003, 2007, 2009, 2010), five NCAA Tournament appearances, and a historic 37-7 season in 2009 when the team was ranked number one in NCAA Division III. He has coached ten players who went on to professional careers in the Minor Leagues or overseas.
His impact extends internationally through coaching roles in Sweden, Belgium, Australia, and Italy, including work with the Swedish National Baseball Team and MLB International. He has also coached future Major Leaguers during his time with the Cape Cod Baseball League.
