Professor Frank McGroarty is a Professor of Computational Finance & FinTech and Director of the Centre for Digital Finance at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He holds a PhD from the University of Southampton (2003) and previously worked in investment management for 13 years, leading roles at Barclays Global Investors, UBS, and State Street. His research focuses on empirical market microstructure in electronic financial markets, including foreign exchange, financial futures, and sports betting markets. He is a member of the Society for Computational Economics and the Computational Modelling Group.

Teaching & Supervision: Leads Advanced Corporate Finance modules and supervises PhD students in financial markets and computational finance. Current advisees include Thokozile Mirriam Tembo, Songshan Qin, and Guanyu Long.
Grants & Projects: Led EU-funded IoT Lab project with Prof. Thanassis Tiropanis. Collaborates with industry on sponsored research in complex systems modeling.
Affiliations: Editorial board member of Research in International Business and Finance; former industry roles included global advisory boards for GARP and IMA.
