معرفی
Dr. Frank Jaeckel is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool, affiliated with the Department of Physics and the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy. His work focuses on hybrid nanomaterials for renewable energy applications, particularly photocatalytic solar fuels, and extends to nanophotonics and nanoplasmonics.
- Education: PhD in Physics (Humboldt-University Berlin, 2005)
- Academic Career: Postdoc at Stanford University (2006-2008), Group Leader at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (2008-2012)
His research explores the preparation and photophysical characterization of nanomaterials, including plasmonic substrates and quantum dots. Recent work involves FeS₂ thin films and antimony selenide photovoltaics. Grants from the EPSRC support his studies on plasmonically enhanced catalytic systems.
Scientific Awards include the
- Carl-Ramsauer Preis (2005)
- Young Scientist Award (EMRS, 2004)
- Lise-Meitner Preis (2002)
