Frank J. Sullivan (1946–1975) was a Professor of English at Loyola University and Loyola Marymount University, renowned for expertise in medieval/Renaissance literature and dramatic performance. He played a pivotal role in acquiring the Leonard William Longstaff St. Thomas More Collection, which expanded the University library’s rare book holdings. His scholarly contributions include the five-volume Moreana series and the Moreana quarterly journal, co-authored with his wife Majie Padberg Sullivan.

His research focused on Saint Thomas More, early modern texts, and library curation. Sullivan also served on the Rank and Tenure Committee and was twice elected by students to deliver commencement speeches (1964, 1972).
Awarded the Rosecrans Foundation grant for library expansion, his legacy includes the Frank Sullivan Rare and Special Books Room and a social justice committee named in his honor. Posthumously, his family donated his personal collection to LMU libraries.
