Frank DiLiberto, PT, PhD serves as an Associate Professor and Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory in the Department of Physical Therapy at Rosalind Franklin University's College of Health Professions. His academic career integrates teaching, research, and clinical expertise with significant contributions to understanding biomechanics and sensorimotor control in foot and ankle pathology.
Dr. DiLiberto earned his educational credentials through a progressive academic pathway: Bachelor of Science in Clinical Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Practice Research from the University of Rochester. His professional development includes certification as an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Specialist, now holding Emeritus status with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
His research program focuses on biomechanics and rehabilitation, particularly investigating muscle performance, sensorimotor control, and outcomes in patients with foot and ankle pathology and diabetes mellitus. Current research directions examine biomechanics following total ankle replacement and mechanisms of foot pathology in diabetic populations.
