His research centers on public law, with emphasis on administrative law, fundamental rights, and religious radicalization. He explores tensions between security imperatives (e.g., counter-terrorism policies) and constitutional protections for religious beliefs, data privacy, and foreigners' rights. His recent work analyzes municipal governance and integrity investigations in Belgium.
Publications highlight comparative administrative law, pandemic-related rights restrictions, and evolving police powers. Collaborations with Professor Marc Nihoul and Professor Stéphanie Wattier underpin his scholarship.
Activities include participation in international conferences on religious diversity (e.g., 6th ICLARS Conference, 2022), seminars on prison religion policies, and visiting research at Universite d'Evry Val d'Essonne (2022). His work contributes to legal frameworks addressing modern societal challenges.
