Franco Quinziano

Francesco Quinziano is a Professor at the University of Macerata, Italy, holding a contract faculty role. He completed his doctoral studies in Modern Philology (Hispanic Studies and Comparative Literature) at the University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2002, with a thesis on the reception of Leandro Fernández de Moratín’s theatre in Italian culture. Previously, he held academic positions as Visiting Associate Professor at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (Japan), and Associate Professor roles at Seoul National University and Korea University (South Korea). His research focuses on contrastive linguistics, 18th-19th century Spanish literature, and comparative Spanish-Italian literature, particularly the reception of Cervantes and Golden Age texts in Italy. He has published over 70 scholarly works, including his monograph Spagna e Italia nel secolo XVIII (2009), and received the 2004 Premio Foro Jovellanos for his contributions to Spanish-Italian literature studies.
