Dr Francisco Pinto is a Lecturer in Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, appointed in 2023. He previously served as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester (2022–2023) and as a Research Economist at the Central Bank of Chile’s Monetary Policy Division (2010–2016). His research integrates International Finance, Time-series Econometrics, Macroeconomics, and Banking & Finance, with an emphasis on commodity-market spillovers, exchange-rate forecasting, and capital-flow dynamics.
