Chanaka Ganepola is a Lecturer in Finance at Alliance Manchester Business School, part of the University of Manchester. He previously held academic roles at Leeds Beckett University and Coventry University, and served as Senior Assistant Director at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for 9 years. His academic qualifications include a PhD in Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School, an MSc in Financial Engineering and Risk Management from Imperial College London, an MBA in Finance from the University of Colombo, and a BE in Computer Science and Engineering from VTU, India. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Previously, he taught financial derivatives, risk management, and Bloomberg trading skills at Coventry University, and corporate finance and investment management at Leeds Beckett University.
