Francisco Javier Deive Herva

Francisco Javier Deive Herva is a full-time Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Vigo. He holds dual degrees in Chemical Sciences and Chemical Engineering from the Universities of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela.

Dr. Deive Herva's research focuses on enzyme production from microorganisms, sustainable solvent design for biocatalyst extraction, and remediation of polluted effluents. His work bridges chemical engineering principles with biological systems to address environmental and energy challenges through biotechnological processes and alternative fuel technologies.

With nearly one hundred indexed journal articles and six book chapters, his scholarly output demonstrates significant contributions to sustainable chemical engineering practices. His research has been presented in over 100 conference communications including posters, oral presentations, and plenary sessions.
