Francisco Iacobelli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Informatics and Data Science and the Department of Surgery at Loyola University Chicago. He is also affiliated with the Center for Advancing Safety and Machine Intelligence (CASMI) at Northwestern University. His research focuses on equitable AI applications to address health disparities, particularly for marginalized and low-literacy communities. He holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from Universidad Diego Portales (Chile), an M.Sc. in Computer Science from DePaul University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
