Francisco Delgadillo is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences (ISQS) department at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. He holds a PhD in Production/Operations Management from Texas Tech, an MBA from the same institution, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on operations management, lean manufacturing, and ethics in information systems. He has pioneered innovative teaching methods, including online course development and strategies to enhance student participation, resulting in consistently high student evaluations.
Dr. Delgadillo has led study abroad programs to Spain and Mexico, organizing company visits to enhance students’ understanding of global operations. He has also been instrumental in diversity initiatives, founding the Multicultural Student Business Association (MSBA) and Rawls Women in Business to support underrepresented students. His leadership roles include serving on the Texas Tech Seville Center Advisory Board and university-wide diversity committees.
He has authored three editions of a leading textbook on information systems in business and contributed to peer-reviewed journals on quality management and sampling methods. His accolades include the Rawls Excellence in Teaching Award and multiple Mortar Board recognitions. Delgadillo’s service extends beyond academia, including roles as a faculty advisor for student organizations and community outreach through the Humane Society of West Texas.
