Francisco Barceló Galindo

Dr. Francisco Barceló Galindo is a Professor of Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands, where he has held a position since 2010. He earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Southampton (1993) and has been a leading figure in Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuropsychology, and Psychobiology.

His research focuses on human cognition using non-invasive brain activity recording techniques (EEG, MEG) combined with neuropsychological assessments to study attention, memory, and decision-making in healthy individuals and patients with brain damage. He has pioneered computational models based on information theory to quantify cognitive novelty across neural processing levels (sensory, motor, sensorimotor).
