Francisco Aragón

Francisco Aragón is Director of Letras Latinas and Professor of the Practice at Notre Dame, teaching Latinx poetry and creative writing. He holds an M.A. from University of Massachusetts, Boston and is the author of poetry collections including After Rubén and editor of The Wind Shifts: New Latino Poetry anthology.

His creative work and leadership at Letras Latinas focus on:

• Advancing Latinx literary voices
• Bridging academic and community arts
• Exploring diasporic identity through poetry

A finalist for Split This Rock's Freedom Plow Award for poetry and activism, Aragón has performed internationally and sits on advisory boards for literary organizations. His teaching integrates poetry writing with Latinx literary traditions.
