Francis Horner is a SCADpro professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2023 and previously served as Professor of Foundation Studies at SCAD from 2019–2022. He earned an M.F.A. in fine arts from the University of Glasgow and a B.F.A. in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University.

His research and professional work focus on fine arts and sculpture, with a strong emphasis on visual arts education through foundation studies. Horner’s practice integrates artistic innovation, technical skill development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Horner has held diverse roles including adjunct faculty positions at John Tyler Community College, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the Robertson School of Media and Culture. He has also worked as a lab technician, photographic specialist, and freelance graphic designer.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions across the U.S. and internationally, including solo and group shows in Richmond, Virginia; Glasgow, Scotland; and Berlin, Germany.
