Francine FAYOLLE is a Professor at Oniris Nantes in the Food Process Engineering Department, which she led from 1996 to 2002. She is affiliated with the GEPEA laboratory (UMR CNRS 6144). Her academic journey includes:
- Chemical Engineering degree from ENSIGC (1989)
- Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Massachusetts Amherst (1990)
- PhD from Chemical Engineering Laboratory (LGC UMR 5503) with Motorola-collaborated thesis on CVD modeling (1993)
Her research examines coupled transfer phenomena in viscous food processing and thermomechanical interactions, with specialized expertise in scraped-surface heat exchangers and flow pattern optimization for industrial cleanability. Current work includes coordinating the ANR SIMPFRI program task on flow dynamics in ice cream production and cleaning systems.
