Francesco Marcatto is a Researcher in Work and Organizational Psychology (M-PSI/06) at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Trieste. He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Trieste in 2009 and worked there as a postdoc and research fellow before co-founding Mindiply Ltd. (London & Brighton, UK) in 2015, serving as its Scientific Director until 2021.

His research focuses on organizational well-being, including cross-sectional and longitudinal studies on stress-job satisfaction links, intervention effectiveness, and novel theoretical models. He specializes in psychometric instrument development, having created scales like the Perceived Occupational Stress Scale (POS, 2022), Ordinal Turnover Intention Scale (OTIS, 2025), and Satisfaction with Work Scale (SWWS, 2022). Current work explores DHEA-S as a biomarker for work-related stress.
Dr. Marcatto actively contributes to academic governance as a member of the Departmental Council and Boards of Studies. He serves as academic editor for Plos One, editorial board member for Current Research in Behavioral Sciences, and review editor for Frontiers in Psychology (Organizational Psychology section). His collaborations span institutions in Canada, Turkey, and the UK.
