معرفی
Francesco Clora serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Science. His academic work focuses on the intersection of climate policy, international trade, and trade policy, with particular emphasis on the European Union and the agri-food sector. As a postdoc researcher within the Section for Production, Markets and Policy, he contributes to both teaching and research activities while maintaining active engagement with public-sector advisory work.
Education:
- PhD in Environmental and Resource Economics (2022), University of Copenhagen - Thesis: "Decarbonization, International Trade and Carbon Leakage: the European Case"
- MSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics (2017), University of Copenhagen - Thesis: "The Effort Sharing Regulation: A preliminary CGE analysis of its impacts on Danish agriculture"
- BSc in Economics and Management (2015), University of Padova, Italy
Clora's research primarily employs climate-environment-economy modeling and computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling approaches. His work addresses critical issues at the nexus of climate policy and international trade, particularly focusing on carbon border adjustment mechanisms, agricultural decarbonization pathways, and food system transformations under different socioeconomic scenarios. His analytical framework often incorporates detailed engineering data to model complex environmental-economic interactions.
His publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on climate policy instruments and their trade implications, with particular attention to the European context. Recent work examines carbon taxation of food consumption, agricultural abatement technologies, and the impacts of different decarbonization pathways on trade balances and carbon leakage. His research often appears in high-impact environmental and energy economics journals, reflecting his significant contributions to understanding the complex interplay between climate policy and international trade.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Course responsible for International Economics (BSc)
- Instructor for Advanced International Trade (MSc)
- Instructor for Applied Trade and Climate Policy Models (MSc)
- Supervision of MSc students working on their theses
Clora maintains active research collaborations across multiple institutions, as evidenced by his extensive co-authorship network. His work-in-progress includes several projects examining carbon border adjustment mechanisms, food demand elasticities under different socioeconomic pathways, and agricultural decarbonization scenarios. His research output has garnered attention from policy sources, news outlets, and academic communities, with multiple publications being referenced in policy discussions and receiving significant attention on academic platforms.
