Francesco Becattini

Francesco Becattini is a Professor at the University of Florence since 1999. He leads major research initiatives, including the INFN project FI31 (2002-2005) and RM31 (2008-present), coordinating over 35 physicists nationally. His work focuses on relativistic statistical mechanics, hydrodynamics, and heavy ion collisions, with contributions to understanding particle production and quantum features of relativistic systems.

Education includes a Ph.D. studentship at CERN (1993-1995) and postdoctoral research at INFN (1996-1999). He held visiting roles at institutions like FIAS (2013), MIT (2008-2009), and Bielefeld University (1997).
