Francesca Scala is a Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at Concordia University's Faculty of Arts & Science. She holds a PhD from Carleton University, an MPPA from Concordia, and a B.A. in Political Science from McGill University. Her research focuses on gender and public policy, with specialties in reproductive politics, work-care reconciliation, and the role of expertise in policy-making.
Current research includes SSHRC-funded projects on work-care reconciliation programs and menstrual equity activism, as well as collaborative work on Gender-Based Analysis (GBA) in Canada. She has authored/co-authored articles in journals like the Canadian Journal of Political Science and Policy Sciences, and her 2019 book *Delivering Policy* explores assisted reproductive technologies in Canada.

Dr. Scala collaborates extensively with scholars like Dr. Stephanie Paterson on projects analyzing feminist policy frameworks and digital governance. Her work bridges academic research with public outreach, addressing contemporary issues such as the 'tampon tax' campaign and pandemic-era policy learning through social media.
