Francesca Forlè's research primarily focuses on phenomenology and philosophy of mind, with particular emphasis on corporeality in the definition of perception and personal identity, and on the issue of expressivity. Her work bridges philosophical inquiry with cognitive neuroscience, exploring how bodily experience shapes consciousness and identity. She has developed a distinctive approach to experimental phenomenology as evidenced by her book Qualità terziarie. Essay on experimental phenomenology (FrancoAngeli 2017).
Her recent publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward integrating phenomenological insights with contemporary debates in cognitive science, gender studies, and social philosophy. The articles show increasing engagement with embodied cognition, intersubjectivity, and the political dimensions of emotion and recognition. Her work consistently applies phenomenological methodology to contemporary issues in neuroscience, gender equality, and social justice.
Her scientific recognition includes:
- Second level national scientific qualification in Theoretical philosophy (11/C1, 2018)
- Second level national scientific qualification in Aesthetics and philosophy of languages (11/C4, 2021)
