Francesc Castella

Francesc Castella is an **Associate Professor** in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). He holds a PhD from McGill University (2013) under Henri Darmon and an MSc from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2009) under Victor Rotger. His research focuses on Number Theory and Arithmetic Geometry, with specialties in p-adic L-functions, Euler systems, Iwasawa theory, and Selmer groups. Current grants include an NSF grant (DMS-2401321) and the 2024-2025 AMS Centennial Research Fellowship.
