Frances Barraclough is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Education in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, based at the University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH). She leads the development of interprofessional education (IPE) programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students across 15 Australian universities, focusing on integrated care and workforce development. Her research specialism is in designing curricula that align with integrated care principles, emphasizing team-based, community-oriented healthcare delivery.
She holds roles including Chair of the Australasian Association of Academic Primary Care - Education Subcommittee and Senior Associate at the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC). Her educational philosophy prioritizes preparing healthcare professionals to manage holistic health needs through interprofessional collaboration, addressing traditional silos in healthcare training.

Current Projects: Leading a world-first research program on an international integrated care education framework through IFIC collaboration. This includes Delphi studies with global experts and scoping reviews of best practices. She recently secured A$80,000 for a 2024 grant to develop virtual reality-based training for rural pharmacists.
