معرفی
Frédérique Autin is a Lecturer at the University of Poitiers affiliated with CeRCA (Center for Research on Cognition and Learning) under the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme et de la Société (MSHS). Her research bridges social psychology and educational science with a focus on systemic inequality and social class dynamics.
Her core research interests include:
- Sociocultural mechanisms of educational inequality through meritocratic selection practices
- Psychology of social class affecting cognition, emotion, and decision-making
- Dehumanization processes and justification of social hierarchies
- Behavioral interventions for health and environmental sustainability
Analysis of her 15 most recent publications (2016-2024) reveals consistent investigation into socioeconomic disparities in education, with significant extensions into health psychology (pandemic compliance, nutrition) and environmental contexts (waste management). Her work employs cross-cultural methodologies and emphasizes open science principles, often examining normative influences and institutional structures.
She co-directs the "Behavioral Psychology Engineering" course in the Psychology Master's program and has supervised PhD candidates including Emilie Guichard. Her research receives institutional support through CeRCA's infrastructure and international partnerships.
Autin is an active member of CeRCA's Social Cognition (SoCog) team, collaborating with researchers across Europe (notably at University of Lausanne) on multi-national projects. Current initiatives include large-scale replications across four countries to strengthen the psychological understanding of social class.
