Professor Fouad Jaber is a Professor and Extension Specialist at Texas A&M University, based in Dallas. His work focuses on integrated water resources management, watershed management programs, and stream restoration hydraulics. He holds a B.S. in Agriculture from the American University of Beirut (1992), an M.S. in Irrigation from the same institution (1995), and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University (2001).
His research emphasizes urban stormwater management, green infrastructure implementation, and climate change impacts on hydrology. Key projects include flood susceptibility mapping, optimization of LID practices, and cost-benefit analyses of green infrastructure. He has contributed to major initiatives like the Liberty County Master Drainage Plan and Dallas stormwater system improvements.
Publications span over two decades, with recent works addressing urban pluvial flooding under RCP8.5 scenarios and barriers to green infrastructure adoption. His training materials, such as the EM-127 Urban Stream Processes booklet, bridge technical knowledge and practical restoration practices. Ongoing efforts focus on resilient urban drainage systems and community engagement in sustainable water management.
