Foteini Baldimtsi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University. Her research focuses on cryptography, privacy, and data security, with applications in blockchain technologies, zero-knowledge proofs, and cryptographic accumulators. She has received research support from the NSF (including a CAREER award), NSA, DHS, CCI, and industry partners like Google, Facebook, and IBM.
- Education: PhD in Computer Science from Brown University (2014), advised by Anna Lysyanskaya
- Postdoctoral: Boston University (2014-2016)
Her research includes designing provably secure cryptographic schemes for privacy-preserving identity management, secure electronic payments, and scalable blockchain transactions. Recent work explores post-quantum cryptography, anonymous tokens, and decentralized storage solutions.
