Foad Hamidi

Foad Hamidi is Associate Professor in the Information Systems Department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His research focuses on participatory design and evaluation of emerging systems including digital living media and adaptive technologies for diverse users including people with disabilities. He directs the Designing Participatory Futures (DARE) lab, investigating inclusive maker processes and sustainable community-centered technology solutions.

Education includes a PhD in Computer Science from York University. Research spans assistive technology, social justice in makerspaces, accessibility in human-computer interaction, and community-centered design approaches.
